All Information About the DDR Memory

Most people know exactly what they want when they build a new system, or upgrade an existing system. They prefer a fully compatible CPU, motherboard and a combination of their favorite video card, but when it comes to memory, they have absolutely no information, and very little DDR memory. If you are one of those people, here is all the DDR memory you need to know.

Why choose DDR memory?

DDR (dual data rate) is an SDRAM-based evolutionary memory technology. Access to DDR SDRAM is twice as fast as SDRAM, as data transfer occurs at both ends of the clock. Fast, transfers data up to 2133MB / s. It also uses less power than standard SDRAM or other types of memory, with an active VV of 2.5Vcc instead of 3.3Vdc of SDRAM.

Which DDR do you buy?

Depending on your preference and schedule, you may find any DDR memory available in the market (DDRI, DDR2 or DDR3). Different DDR options which is the most important factor in determining the overall performance of your system.

DDR1 memory

DDR1 is available as a registered or offline. DDR1 has its own address and control lines installed in the bath to minimize signal loading, and is more expensive than DDR1 can bath. Crude DDR1 does not include address lines and volume controls, so it costs less. Unlike registered DDR1, unused DDR1 can only be installed on a single motherboard up to 4 * 1GB.

DDR2 memory

This is a memory of the second generation of DDR. While 400MHz is the highest speed of DDR1, it is much lower than DDR2. This means that DDR2 starts where DDR1 comes from. Due to a different delay, 400MHz DDR1 may exceed 400MHz DDR2, but the gain returns to DDR2 as soon as the speed reaches the next step (532MHz) DDR1 will not reach.

DDR3 memory

This is the third generation of DDR memory. It starts at a speed of 800Mbps (400MHz) as the lowest available. Today, the maximum available speed of DDR3 works with two billion data transfers per second.

DDR memory compatibility

You should not just walk into a store and buy any DDR available for your program. You should consider the compatibility of the DDR memory. You can use the memory option to get compatible memory enhancement DDR, DDR2 or DDR3, or a whole new system scanner to scan your system to get the same DDR memory.

What to consider when choosing DDR memory

Apart from compliance, you need to check the different delays in the market, comparing the different types available with their prices and other features that will be selected for you.
